HAPPY NEW YEAR. i am cold.

Not updating was obviously my New Year's resolution and oops, I broke it.

I had a wild winter break, and while most adjectives I use here are grossly inflated and rather ironic, "wild" is (ironically) neither of those.

Details cannot, will not be given. I have seen the light, though. One day, at a time. A trying time, is no time to quit trying. Etc. And I do a lot of comma, splicing now, too.


Basically I had a good time in the NOLA. Then I came back and had a birthday and ate the most outrageous dinner of my life yet at Aquavit. Smoked quail's egg yolk the size of a paper hole punch is...surprise! tasty!

Then all I did was leave town for fencing tournaments and write a lot of papers and now I'm here.

I'm mentally checked-out after writing a paper about identity that made me doubt my own consciousness, then my own existence...until I realized that, hello! forget these existential problems! there is a paper to write!...which is going to be the topic of my ground-breaking thesis paper: "There Is Always A Paper To Be Written By A Person, Due the Next Morning at 9 AM, Regardless As To Whether Or Not That Person Exists."

Really. Something is always due. Something will always be due. Even if I stop existing.

doesn't that suck? majorly? Even before I came into this world that demands paper writing from me, I had a due date...January 18, 1986 to be exact. Of course I turned myself in late, hence the 10%-off penalty that follows me in every aspect of my life FOREVER.
